Blogging seems to be growing in popularly everyday and this present a unique and wonderful opportunity to us as Christians. We are able use blogging as a way to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) and teach others about the Word of God. Blogging give us an opportunity to reach people regardless of location, race, or nationality. It gives us an opportunity to tell others about the love of Christ and also to encourage other Christians.
There are various ways to include the Bible in your blog and one way is by actually using and referencing Bible verses in your blog posts such as writing devotions. Another way is to simply share your testimonial and to make sure you are acting and reacting in a Christian like manner. One of the best ways for someone to see the love of Christ is for them to see it in you. Letting your readers know how God is working in your life can change their life as well.
As we just discussed there are many different ways one can blog the Bible but the most popular and more common ways is to actually include Bible verses in your blog posts. If you are using the Wordpress.org blogging platform, then Wordpress makes this very simple to do by using plugins. By doing a simple search on Google for “wordpress bible plugin” you will get a number of results that will help you in your quest of blogging the Bible. There are plugins that will add a Verse of Day functionality to your blog sidebar, add a list of your favorite verses, and even automatically include links from your posts to a the Bible verses you reference to an online Bible.
By including Bible verses in your blog you can make an impact on your readers by showing them the truth, the Word of God and Wordpress plugins make it easy to do this. Of course in order to use the Wordpress plugins, you must be using the free Wordrpess.org blogging platform. If you use another blogging platform such as Blogger or Typepad, there are other ways to automatically include Bible verses in your blog as well in which you just copy a piece of code.
The important thing to remember when blogging is that as Christians we are God’s ambassadors. We are here on Earth to represent Him in all we do. The Lord is capable of effecting the lives who those who seek Him, even through something as simple as a blog. The Lord can show them that to follow His word and His teachings will change their lives in more ways that they can possibly imagine. All this can be achieved through an online blog if you have faith and believe in the Lord’s blessings.
