In fact, the most effective way is to give the task itself positive associations.
So go ahead and practice. Think about something you like. Then think about the task at hand and associate it with the thing or activity you like.
Of course, that’s just one of the ways to stop procrastination. There are others. And you’ll get more effective, the more of them you get a handle on.
