Abraham-Hicks Placemat Process – No More Multi-Tasking with this Stress Management Technique

Do you ever feel pressure to do too many things all at once? Do you feel overwhelmed by your endless to-do lists? If you haven’t found it yet, let me introduce you to the Abraham-Hicks Placemat Process. It’s an amazing solution to the “too much to do and not enough time to do it” problem.
The idea is that you can only do so much. Go beyond that, and it all backfires. The work is done shoddily and may come back to haunt you. You may get sick from overwork, so you can’t even do much of anything anymore.
We have a responsibility to ourselves as well as to everyone else, and that responsibility is to take care of ourselves. The Placemat Process helps us do that.
How does it work?
1. Take a piece of paper, approximately the size of a paper placemat (that’s where the name comes from) or any other large enough size for your to-do list.
2. Divide it into two sides, left and right.
3. On the left side, write: Things I will do today.
4. On the right side, write: Things I will turn over to the universe.
5. Then pick out some of the things you absolutely MUST do today from your to do list and write them in your column. Make sure you pick only as many as you can comfortably do that day within a reasonable amount of time.
6. Put the rest of your to do list in the other column.
7. Do the tasks on your side.
8. Enjoy having finished your portion of the to-do list.
9. Pay attention to the items that evaporate or take care of themselves on the other side.
10. Repeat the next day.
It will reduce your stress almost instantly, and may bring the fun back to actually doing the things you have to do, along with a sense of accomplishment that sorely evades you as you scramble to make headway with that traditional never-ending and ever-expanding list.

And as you keep doing that place mat process, you’ll find that miraculous things seem to happen. According to Abraham, you may find that the things that you have turned over to the universe will get done faster than those you assigned to yourself. Clearly, you’re not meant to do everything. So do your bit, and take some time to enjoy your life too. You’ll find discover that this will give you a great deal of stress relief as well.
