In October 2005, Nicole Dean founded LadyPens.com as a way for her to showcase the successful, focused, amazing women that she was proud to call her friends.
She wanted to create one central location to find the BEST of what the web had to offer. Her goal was to attract quality website owners and bloggers to republish the articles online as well as enticing offline magazines to publish the content, as well.
Well, it worked for awhile.
Unfortunately, spammers took over the site and 3 years later Nicole was forced to decide whether to sell the site, scrap it, or revamp it.
She went to her good friend (one of the original “awesome ladies”), Kelly McCausey, who said “I LOVE LadyPens!”… and so the two friends partnered.
Kelly, with her design firm, FreshNets.com, offered to redesign the site and brought something else to the table — a great knowledge and love of podcasting.
LadyPens is now the vision that Nicole had hoped for — and more.
It is a rich library of articles, with reprint rights, as Nicole always wanted AND… it includes free reprint AUDIOS for podcasters to use.
