Simple Steps To Market Your Scrapbook Service Business

By: Vera Raposo

Scrapbooking has literally taken off in the last few years and become the “in” thing to be doing if you are trying to create something special and unique for a friend or loved one.

The fact that this industry is taking off really helps make marketing a little easier because people are already looking for a place to get the best and more unique supplies as well as get the trusted basic supplies. What you need to do is stand out from your competition and give your potential client a reason to pick you and not the other person.

Scrapbooking is an artistic and personal hobby. You scrapbook because you are wanting to capture a memory, tell someone how you feel, preserve a special moment. With that being said then your marketing needs to offer the client something special.

Some simple steps to market your scrapbooking business:

Use Classes To Network - Don’t feel like teaching a class, take one and network. Meet the people in the class and find out what they are looking for when it comes to scrap booking and then market to them. Tell them about your business; invite them to your store.

Coupons! Make them and use them. You may think that it is a dumb idea, but huge stores such as Michaels use them, and that is one hobby store that is always filled with customers. Face it, we are always looking for ways to get what we want for less.

Use the internet! You are on the net right now, use it to your advantage. Look for scrapbooking groups or chats and join in and talk about your products and build a customer base.

Car Decals - You have a vehicle, spend the twenty or thirty dollars and have a decal made for you car and advertise while you drive.

Trade Shows - Become part of trade show. Borrow some secrets, offer some scrap booking secrets. Show why your product is the one to buy.

VIP’s - Send out personal invitations to an appetizer and introduction of your newest technique at your home or rent a private room at a hotel and make your clients feel extremely important! I know an accountant that holds a private Christmas part exclusively for his clients, this makes people feel important and puts you in a good light because you’re the one treating them for their business.

There are so many options available to you to market your scrapbooking business. You just needed to be creative.
